Process included the raising of R2.7bn in new funding to stabilise the group. The process has provided an exit for bank funders holding equity as well as a route to 100% BEE ownership by the majority shareholder. This created a platform for the sustainability of the company and fulfilment of its value add as a BEE shareholder to its investee companies. Libstar : South Africa (2021) | sole independent financial advisor on a R3bn refinance of existing debt across three facilities, with an improved cash flow and cheaper costs of funding and related costs, closed in two months.
MOGS Storage : Ghana (2024 – date) | sole independent advisor on the raising of c.$40m of new funding to replace existing funding and repay shareholder loans. The new funding came with better pricing and security arrangements.
