Debbie Millar

Managing Director

Debbie brings significant value to her clients with over 25 years of experience and expertise as executive responsible for treasury, funding and investor relations at large and medium size corporates such as MTN, Vodacom, EOH and Edcon. She has navigated companies during their most exciting growth periods as well as challenging times of change ensuring cashflow and balance sheet efficiency. Her credibility and experience ensures the best negotiated funding and treasury outcome for the companies she services.

Debbie is a CA(SA) and is passionate about sport and the environment as well as the role investor relations plays in the capital markets. She currently competes in mountain bike races, is on the board of WESSA and is chairman of the IRSSA. She has two adult children and three pampered dogs.

Mahesh Patel

Director

Mahesh is a CA (SA) and a qualified financial modeller that has a lot of fun under the excel sheets. He is driven and passionate about the roles corporates have to serve their wider stakeholder group as well as the role of conscious capital in the market. He is an avid runner and poor golfer but is passionate about both, competing in races on the former. Mahesh’s extensive experience with distressed assets and corporate finance makes him the ideal person to help unlock value in a business and knowing exactly what mistakes to avoid.

Lynda Feldhaus

Office Manager

Lynda is the Office Manager at 8Hundred. She worked at Deloitte for 41 years, where she was given many opportunities to grow. Started as a Junior Secretary, then to Audit Administrator, HR Administrator, Finance Administrator in the Forensic division and then finally to the Marketing department as Finance, CRM & Office Manager.

Lynda’s responsibilities are general office administration, finance overview, personal assistant to Debbie. Lynda is a little bossy, but loves being organised and organising others’ lives.

Lynda is passionate about wildlife and nature.  She went on a trip to the Serengeti in 2015 and it changed her life.  On her return she did a Nature and Environmental course and is now a qualified field guide.  She loves spending time in her garden and socialising with her friends.

Tamsin Freemantle

Consultant

Tamsin Freemantle has extensive experience working on the continent, with a focus on the development of capital markets.
She was with the Johannesburg Stock Exchange for 8 years, in a business development role for Africa ex-South Africa. She has 5 years of experience in retail banking, 10 years of experience in general management and 3 years of professional services experience at Allen & Overy LLP, now A&O Shearman.

Tamsin is passionate about building the African continent, sustainably. Her clients include FMDQ Exchange and Chapel Hill Denham, Nigeria, the Johannesburg Stock Exchange, the African Crowdfunding Association and professional services firms Udo Udoma & Belo-Osagie in Lagos and Webber Wentzel South Africa. She conducts training on capital markets and their development, has completed analysis of the financial market infrastructures in Africa and other regions, and engages with regulatory authorities across the continent on a number of topics, including capacity building for finance ministries and changing regulatory environments for alternative financing mechanisms. She is currently serving as Vice President and a board member of the South Africa-Nigeria Business Chamber.

Tamsin studied English, International Relations and Law at the University of Witwatersrand and has an MBA from Pretoria University’s Gordon Institute of Business (GIBS) in South Africa.
